Mercedes is already frustrated that she's not getting enough love action at home – so when Malachy spurns her advances yet again, she's fuming. Later, she throws Malachy by turning up at The Loft unannounced and proceeds to follow him round, much to his annoyance.

Eventually, Malachy snaps and tells Mercedes he's feeling suffocated by her attentions and that working and living together is proving too much. Later, Mercedes opens her heart to Calvin, confiding her fears about her marriage – and, this being Hollyoaks, it isn't long before a friendly chat leads to a full-on snog. Bad Mercedes!

Meanwhile, Cindy's becoming increasingly fed up with Tony, who's totally absorbed in planning a veterans' day at Il Gnosh. As Tony reminds her how much it means to him to honour the memory of his great-grandfather, greedy Cindy only has money on her mind, as she takes the late war hero's medals off to be valued.

Elsewhere, Nancy is becoming increasingly concerned about Anita's growing friendship with Hannah, and Spencer spends bonfire night in hospital after a firework explodes in his hand, giving him first-degree burns.
